Brenda Dickenson is a graduate of Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage located in Syracuse, New York. (NYS license #028956) She has been trained in many different modalities and is an integrative therapist. Brenda has experience working with people from different age groups, children to geriatric. She has been trained in various modalities such as Orthopedic Treatments, Medical Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy (Trigger point / Myo-therapy), Myofascial Release (Connective Tissue Bodywork), Scar Tissue Release, Oncology Massage, Craniosacral Therapy, Muscle Energy Technique (MET), Strain-Counterstrain, Cupping Therapy, Positional Release Technique, Prenatal Massage, and Sports Massage.
While Brenda works with many people for different reasons, her practice primarily focuses on treatment for chronic pain, injury and surgical rehabilitation, musculoskeletal imbalance as well as stress management for overall wellness. Years of working alongside of orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, pain management doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors and general physicians, she has experience using the team approach to help people reach their goals.
Brenda believes each person should be given individual consideration and attention regarding their health and wellness. As a health care professional, she is dedicated to providing quality care by assessing the needs of each person individually, designing specific sessions based upon those needs and selecting an appropriate treatment plan.
She is involved with Hands for Heros which is an organization that provides free bodywork for our veterans. Brenda also is involved with S4OM (Society for Oncology Massage) which also provides bodywork services for those living with cancer. In addition to massage and bodywork therapy, Brenda is a certified Functional Medicine Health and Wellness Coach, Reiki Master Practitioner (Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage), holds certifications in Aromatherapy and is an herbalist.
Easy access from 87, exit 10, Ushers Road exit or Route 9, Ushers Road, Clifton Park. The building is on the corner lot of Ushers Road and Route 9. Located in the same building as Core Physical Therapy. Please take the elevator to the second floor. Stepping off the elevator, go left down the hallway to suite 204.
